School Operations for Years 7 to 12 students from 25th October.
As per the directions from DOE and NSW health and to ensure safe return of students to school, Merrylands High School has put in place the following strategies from 25th October, Week 4 till further notice.
Please read the following table for the staggered start and finish time for the different year groups:
There will be different start and finish times for each of the cohorts and this is organised to keep staff and students safe.
Parents can drop students at the main entry gate at the designated times as per the table . School operations from 25th October
Students will be allocated rooms with each cohort taught/supervised by 2 faculties. The focus for years 7 to 10 is literacy, numeracy and wellbeing/welfare of students.
There will be year meeting organized for each of the cohorts on 25th October and the expectations will be explained.
- Different recess and lunch breaks with designated areas.
- Designated classrooms for students for the whole week.
- Good ventilation (opened windows and no use of air conditioners)
- wellbeing lessons will be delivered.
- No sport lesson.
Student expectations:
- Students to come in full school uniform.
- Students are required to wear a mask.
- No sharing of food or personal items.
- Remain in their year groups and designated areas.
- Students expected to come to school on time and leave when school ends.
- Students not to mingle with other year groups inside or outside of school premises.
