Harmony Day 2026

Harmony Day is an annual celebration of our cultural diversity, inclusivity and respect for each other. It brings people together no matter their culture, ethnicity, language background or religion. The core Australian values we share ensures everyone belongs.

What’s new for 2026

This year, Merrylands High School will be celebrating Harmony Day over TWO DAYS in Week 10A of Term 1.

Tuesday 31 March

Years 7 to 9

Periods 1–2: Regular classes
Periods 3–4: Assembly then
      Cultural Showcase
Period 5: Regular classes

Years 10 to 12


Periods 1–5: Regular classes all day

Wednesday 1 April

Years 7 to 9

Period 1: 9:00–9:45 am Regular classes
    (45 minutes)
Period 2: 9:45–10:30 am Regular classes
    (45 minutes)
Recess: 10:30–11:00 am
Period 3: 11:00 am – 12:00 pm Regular classes
Period 4: 12:00–1:00 pm Regular classes
Lunch and Period 5: Food Festival
